What is Radon Gas and why you should care about it?
One of the most important reasons to get a home inspection for gases is to check for harmful gases that routinely go unnoticed — Like Radon. Radon is an invisible, odorless, tasteless gas that occurs naturally in many areas in Canada and around the world. The Environmental Protection Agency believes radon is responsible for over 20,000 lung cancer deaths each year. This makes radon gas the second leading cause of lung cancer behind smoking. Because of this, EPA recommends that all homeowners have radon testing done on a regular basis.
